“ In the past our visits to Pacific City have included lunch at Pelican Brewery. Last year was the final time. Not good and very expensive. Looking for other options we stumbled upon the Oar House and we were not disappointed. Friendly service, more reasonable prices and good food. The lobster chowder was amazing. Made from scratch. ”
“ If you're going down the highway STOP HERE!! The food here is amazing! The best fried cod I've ever had, fresh breaded daily. They have a great selection of wines and beers. The restaurant screams pnw with the ocean themed decorations adorning the walls. The server was amazing, I can't wait to come back next time I'm passing through! 10/10 ”

“ Service was good, dealt amazingly with a kiddo who was very very direct in his wishes of her. Lol. Was my first time going to dinner with my boyfriend's son and it went very well! Kids menu was good by they also were willing to make a basic cheese burger for us. Prices are good! Food quality and quantity was good! Overall happy. Thank you. We all Will be back. ”
“ The mussels -were delicious-creamy with a bit too much cumin (but that's just me). Comes with a huge bowl of crispy fries to dip into the sauce. Big enough for a meal. Salad was big and fresh and delicious. Best clam chowder: perfect consistency and taste. Large selection of tap beers including some very hoppy beers. The only reason we don't come here everyday is the smell of the place. The rugs are old and emanates an unpleasant odor. As you enter the restaurant the bathrooms are the 1st rooms that you smell and again not very pleasant. But the food and service is awesome. ”
“ Can't speak for the food, as I haven't eaten here yet. But I can vouch for the lovely patio, friendly service and kick-ass drinks. While other places nearby deliver with beach tourist prices, The Oar House treats you like a local, even if it's your first time in. There's a decent Happy Hour menu, but we decided to go with standard cocktails on the menu. I enjoyed a Negronish concoction while my husband sipped a Manhattan. The tab (before tip) for the two came to less than $20, and for that, we had the privilege of lounging and visiting with the next table. A nearby diner had his little pup with him, so obviously a pet friendly patio, too. The entrees that passed by looked tempting; you know The Oar House is on my list for dinner during my next visit to Pacific City! ”
“ The first thing that I need to say is WOW! This place is now out favorite spot along the coast. My wife's family comes up to Pacific City every other year, so we've eaten a lot of food in the area over the years; but this place absolutely takes the cake. We started with the calamari fries and despite a lot of other places in the area serving a pretty rubbery dish, the ones here were cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of bite. I then moved on to the French dip, and my wife moved on to the turkey BLT, and again I just have to say wow. The French dip had really great flavor and the fries are to die for. The focaccia that the BLT comes on had my wife absolutely raving. MaKayla was also one of the best servers we've ever had, and we got to sit in her section both days! Our dairy allergy often makes us have to be a pain in the neck while ordering, but she was super nice and accommodating the whole time. She deserves a huge shoutout! This place was so good, we even came back again the next day with some friends to show them what we had found and they loved it just as much, if not more, than we did. If you're down for great food in a cool location near the river, and even better service... look no further! ”
